David attended college at Oklahoma's Northeastern State University, graduating with a bachelor of arts degree in 1996. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Threat and Response Management from the University of Chicago.
David resides in the Chicago area, working as an emergency management coordinator and public information officer for a jurisdiction with over one million residents. David has served as his agency's primary liaison to the State and to FEMA during multiple presidential disaster declarations. David also serves as an adjunct professor for a community college in the Chicago area. He is an accredited Illinois Professional Emergency Manager (IPEM) and a Certified Emergency Manager (CEMĀ®).
